MPM Insurance Achieved “Best General Insurance 2019” from Media Insurance
Media Asuransi gave awards to the best general insurance companies in the “Insurance Award 2019” in Jakarta, July 23, 2019 evening. There are 15 general insurance companies designated by the 2019 Insurance Award Jury as Best General Insurance. Based on the results of a study conducted by the Insurance Media Research Institute (LRMA), there are 73 general insurance companies which in general reach the insurance industry in 2018 better than 2017. These companies are divided into 5 groups based on their equity: Rp100 billion – Rp200 billion , Rp. 200 billion – Rp. 300 billion, Rp. 300 billion – Rp. 500 billion, Rp. 500 billion – Rp1.5 trillion, and Rp1.5 trillion and above. From each of these groups, the Jury set three best general insurance companies that received the “Best General Insurance 2019” award. PT Asuransi Mitra Pelindung Mustika (MPM Insurance) was ranked top and succeeded in getting the “Best General Insurance 2019” award in the Equity group of Rp 300 billion – Rp 500 billion. The improvement of MPM Insurance’s performance in 2018 is based on the growth of Direct Premiums which reached 27%, Underwriting Results which rose by 8%, and Investment Results which increased by 10%. MPM Insurance Claim Settlement Rate also gets the highest score in its class, which is 98%. In addition, the company’s assets also increased from Rp782.90 billion in 2017 to Rp1.03 trillion in 2018. “Alexander H Setokusumo, who has more than 20 years experience in the general insurance industry, proves that this 2018 MPM can continue to move towards realizing the company’s vision and mission.
